Make Sure Your Pets Find Their Way Home

When pets get lost and can’t find their way back home, they can get hurt or worse. At Bluegrass Animal Care Center-Brandenburg, we provide microchipping for your pet, which is a reliable form of identification. We want your pet to be safe and sound.

We know you’ll do everything you can to ensure your pet is safe. If your dog ever gets lost, microchipping can help your dog get back home to where it belongs. Contact us today to learn more about microchipping.

The Procedure Is Safe and Effective

Ideally, puppies and kittens are microchipped, but even adult pets can safely be implanted! The microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is implanted between the shoulder blades. You’ll be given a registration number containing your information after the procedure.

How Microchipping Works?

If your pet gets lost and either a Good Samaritan or animal control finds him, he will be taken to a veterinarian. Upon arrival, the vet will use a special device to scan for a microchip. Once found, the chip will reveal your pet’s information. The vet will then report your missing pet on the microchip database and you’ll be contacted with information on how and where to claim your furry friend.
